You need WhatsApp Business linked to a Meta Business / Facebook Page — not only the consumer WhatsApp app on your phone. If Meta asks which phone number, pick the one clients already text.

Connect WhatsApp, Instagram & Facebook — without the panic
You do not need Meta for Developers, API keys, or a technical team. Booky already handles the hard part. You only click Connect and approve access — like linking Instagram to a scheduling tool.
Start without connecting anything
Most salons should spend day one on Log booking: when a client messages you, type name, service, and time into Booky. The queue works immediately. Connect WhatsApp later when you want messages to create requests with less typing.
- No client app — they keep chatting as usual
- Connecting is optional, not required for the trial
- One Facebook login covers WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger
Read the FAQ if “queue” or “channels” still feel fuzzy.
Log booking
Still works without WhatsApp connect
Four steps. Same flow for WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.
- 01
Open Channels in Booky
Sign in → More → Channels. You’ll see WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Google Calendar. Pick one and tap Connect account.
- 02
Log in with the right Facebook
Meta asks you to log in. Use the Facebook account that owns your business Page and WhatsApp Business number — not a personal-only account if your salon Page is elsewhere.
- 03
Allow every permission
Turn toggles on for messages / WhatsApp / the Page you use with clients. Skipping one is the usual reason Booky shows “Needs Graph ID” later.
- 04
Land back on Channels
You should see Live connected. You’re done — new inbound requests can feed your queue.
In the app: Open Channels (sign-in required).
What you’ll see on screen
These are simplified screenshots of the real flow. Meta’s design may look slightly different, but the decisions are the same: right account → allow permissions → back to Booky.

Log in with Facebook
Meta owns WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger — one login covers them.
Use the Facebook that owns your business Page / WhatsApp
Booky wants to
- Manage your WhatsApp Business account
- Access messages on your Instagram account
- Manage your Facebook Page messages
Turn every toggle on for the Page / phone number you use with clients. Skipping a permission is the #1 reason connection fails.

Tips per app
Your Instagram must be a Professional account connected to your Facebook Page. Private personal accounts won’t show up in the permission list.
Facebook Messenger
Connect the Page clients message — the same Page your ads or profile use. If you manage several Pages, select the salon one carefully.
Google Calendar
Separate Connect button — Google’s own login, not Meta. After connecting, use Sync now to pull/push events. Optional; Booky’s own calendar works without it.
If something looks wrong
It says “Needs Graph ID”
Booky logged you in but didn’t receive a Page / WhatsApp phone ID. Disconnect → Connect again → allow all permissions → choose the correct Page and WhatsApp number when Meta asks.
“Connection failed” or invalid state
Usually a cancelled login or an expired browser step. Close extra Facebook tabs, try once more from Channels, and avoid switching accounts mid-flow.
I don’t see my Page or WhatsApp number
You’re on the wrong Facebook user. Log out of Facebook in the browser, return to Booky Connect, and sign in as the Page admin / Business admin.
I hate this and want to stop
Totally fine. Disconnect anytime. Keep using Log booking — WhatsApp connect is a convenience, not a requirement to run your salon on Booky.
Ready when you are
Connect in under a few minutes — or skip it and still run a quieter front desk.
